Talk on the Myers Briggs Type Instrument® by Brian Lawrence 10 Nov 2010
Psychological Type and The MBTI® Instrument are about preferences. They are about making choices in our behaviours. Personality Type Instruments such as the MBTI® open the doors to making choices and give us a common language for discussing differences in where we derive our energy from, how we organise our external world and how we process information and make decisions. This is a fundamental difference from the way in which we use traditional trait based psychometric instruments.
The MBTI® Instrument is primarily a tool for developing individuals and teams. It is used by major organisations around the world as well as by individual coaches and counselors. Every year, over 2 million people around the world take the instrument.
Brian Lawrence, Principal Psychologist at CPP Asia Pacific, who develop and distribute the MBTI® will describe how the instrument is used successfully, globally in various settings. Using organizational case studies he will demonstrate why the instrument is one of the most successful and popular psychometric instruments in the world today and how it can be applied to Leadership Development, Organisational Change, Conflict, Communication, Innovation, Learning Styles, Emotional Intelligence and Team Dynamics.
